Hola knitters!
Estos últimos días hemos estado liados con mil y una cosas que os iremos contando, pero la que más ilusión nos ha hecho ha sido la colaboración WE ARE KNITTERS - Fundación Humanae (http://www.fundacionhumanae.org/)
La Fundación acaba de cumplir 7 añitos, así que les dimos 2 de nuestros kits para que lo sortearan entre todos sus amigos de Facebook!

El pasado viernes fue la fiesta de su "cumple" y la verdad es que nos encantó estar allí! Nos acompañaron nuestras amigas Nati, Marta & Marta y pudimos escuchar de primera mano lo que nos contó la doctora Santos y su equipo: la trayectoria de la fundación, las distintas actividades que hacen con sus pacientes, además de sus planes inmediatos y futuros.
La verdad es que escuchar a gente tan inspiradora y que hace tanto bien siempre es un gusto, además de hacerte pensar en todo lo que un cerebro, dos manos y las ganas de ayudar a los demás pueden hacer! :)
Una persona a la que nos encantó conocer fue Borja López. Se trata de un chico que, tras superar un terrible accidente de coche, ha puesto en marcha un proyecto que nos ha apasionado. Él lo llama "Meeting Art": una o dos veces por mes hace eventos en su casa, dónde expone y vende las obras de jóvenes artistas. Todo el que quiera está invitado, sólo teneis que enviarle un email (comercial@tucuartodearte.com) y él os avisará cuando es la próxima exposición! Nosotros tenemos muchas ganas de ir a la siguiente, será nuestra primera vez!! (http://www.tucuartodearte.com/)

Bueno, también tenemos que decir que nos encantó la tarta de chocolate que habían preparado los chicos de Huamanae; estaba bueniiiiisima!! Muchas gracias chicos!!

Hello Knitters!
These last few days we've been doing lots of things, but the one we are most proud of is the collaboration between WE ARE KNITTERS and Humanae Foundation (http://www.fundacionhumanae.org/).
This foundation just turned 7 this past week, so we gave them 2 of our kits so their Facebook friends could be entered into a draw!
Last Friday was its Birthday Party and we must say we loved to be there! Our friends Nati, Marta & Marta came with us and we listened to all the things Dr. Santos and her team told us: the foundation's story, the different activities they do with theis patients and their immediate and future plans.
The truth is that by listening to people so inspiring that acts as good as they do makes you think about how many things a brain, two hands and the need to help others can do!!
One person we loved to meet was Borja López. He is a man who, after suffering a terrible car accident, started a project we are passionate about. He calls it "Meeting Art": once or twice a month he helds an event in his house, where he shows and sells the art pieces of young artists. Everybody is invited to go, you just have to send him an email (comercial@tucuartodearte.com) and he will tell you when is the next exhibition! We are really looking forward to go to the next one, it will be our first time! (http://www.tucuartodearte.com/)
Well, we must also confess that we loved the chocolate cake the Humanae guys had prepared!! It was delicious!! Thank you very much!!
