How are you knitters?

Cómo ya os adelantamos hace un par de semanas, en WE ARE KNITTERS decidimos hacer una nueva sesión de fotos con nuestros diseños de la colección Otoño/Invierno 2011. Las fotos las publicaremos dentro de muy poquito, así que mientras tanto os enseñamos como fue el ´making-of´.

Como es una zona que nos encanta por sus callejuelas y rincones, decidimos que el lugar donde teníamos que hacer las fotos era el barrio de Malasaña en Madrid. Las hicimos durante todo un domingo, que es cuando esa zona está más tranquila, si es que llega a "tranquilizarse" del todo en algún momento.

La fotógrafa que se ocupó de la sesión fue la genial Rosa Copado (Rosita para los amigos). Nos conocimos en septiembre en El Ego de Cibeles y desde el primer momento nos enganchó su personalidad, su forma de vestir y ,sobre todo, su arte con la cámara! Dimos saltos de alegría cuando supimos que quería ser nuestra fotógrafa porque nos encanta su trabajo y sabíamos que el resultado iba a ser el mejor!

Los modelos que escogimos nos encantan por muchas razones, pero sobre todo porque son la viva imagen de nuestra filosofía: son jóvenes, modernos, viajeros y no les importa ser diferentes.

Las chicas son las gemelas más ´trendy´ de todo Madrid: Irene y Marta Corral. Son amigas que conocemos desde hace bastante tiempo y además de ser guapísimas teneis que saber que son DIVERTIDÍSIMAS! No pudimos parar de reir en algunos momentos de la sesión por su culpa!

Él se llama Juan Cocco. No nos conocíamos personalmente, pero nos gustaba mucho su rollo, así que se lo propusimos y le pareció una idea muy divertida. Resultó ser un chico muy guay y que escribe en su propio blog, en el que habla sobre sus gustos, sus pensamientos, dónde compra las cosas, su ´life style´, etc. Check it! Fue un día agotador en el que acabamos comiendo unas pizzas pasadas las 5 de la tarde pero lo que es más importante, el resultado fue espectacular! Estamos deseando enseñaros las fotos, seguro que os gustan tanto como a nosotros!

How are you knitters?

As we already told you a couple of weeks ago on Facebook, we decided to do another photoshoot of our Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. We will publish de pics really soon, but in the meantime we'll show you the ´making-of´.

Because we love its unique atmosphere and hidden places, we chose the Malasaña area in Madrid to do the shooting. We did it on a Sunday, when this place gets more quiet, if it gets "quiet" at all anytime.

The photographer who directed the photoshoot was Rosa Copado. We met her at Madrid Fashion Week and it was love at first sight: her personality, her style and, most of all, her art with the camera! We were jumping in our seats when we learnt that she wanted to take our pics 'cause we loved her work and knew it would be the best!

We chose the models on purpouse because they reflect perfectly our philosophy: they are young, they are trendy, they like to travel and they are not afraid to be different.

The girls are the coolest twins in Madrid: Marta and Irene Corral. We know them since a long time and not only they are beautiful but also they are the FUNNIEST girls we've ever met. We couldn't help laughing all the time during some parts of the shoot!

He is Juan Cocco. We didn't know him personally, but we admired his style, so we asked him to participate and he thought it would be a lot of fun. He turned to be a really nice guy who writes his own blog: he posts his thoughts, his tastes, where he buys, his lifestyle, etc. Check it out! We ended the shoot quite tired having some pizzas for lunch at around 5 p.m. but the results are awesome, so it was worth the effort! We are willing to show you the photos, hopefully you will love them as much as we do!
